Wealthy businessmen like Jonathan Myrick Daniels and Vernon Ferdinand Dahmer paid the ultimate price of the lives all in the name of justice between the races. The white men and women that made their appearance at the speech and throughout the Civil Rights Movement fought for equality in some of the most destructive ways. With the help of people within society racism is a problem that can be prevented, and ended in theįigurative Language In I Have A Dream Speech Although there are hateful groups such as the KKK, and people who cause and support hate crimes, Martin Luther King Jr, Lesley Mcfadden, and other influential people have helped overcome the issues of racism. Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, and Michael Brown’s mother, Lesley Mcfadden are excellent examples of leadership. When influential people stand up and demand respect for themselves and their culture, a change can be made.
HYPERBOLE IN I HAVE A DREAM SPEECH SKIN
This goes to show that people of all skin colors, religions and beliefs can join together to overcome oppression and hysteria that comes with it. In Ferguson, after the killing of Michael Brown on August 9th, 2014, the whole town, no matter their skin color, rose against the prejudiced police and the law system. It takes just one person to end a hysteria like racism or fear of witchcraft. Ironically, the Lincoln Memorial is often seen as a symbol of freedom for every person in the United States, no matter the color of their skin. King stated, “I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of ‘interposition’ and ‘nullification’ - one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers” (King). The speech took place at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. once delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech on August 28, 1963.
